Ranitomeya sirensis “Rio Pachitea Yellow” is a color morph of the Sira poison dart frog, a thumbnail-sized species native to the lowland forests of Peru. Highly arboreal, these frogs spend most of their time in the upper canopy and vertical spaces of their habitat. They are known for being inquisitive and have a bold personality compared to some other thumbnail species.  They are generally considered hardy and a relatively good choice for those starting with Ranitomeya. Humidity & Temperature: High humidity levels (80%+) and stable temperatures between 70–80°F.

  • Social Structure: They can typically be kept in pairs or small groups (trios), provided there is sufficient space and resources
