Incubation media is suitable for the eggs of most reptile species, as its moisture level can be easily adjusted.
Species that do well with this hatching media;
Crested Geckos, Gargoyle Geckos, Leachianus Geckos, Leopard Geckos, African Fat-Tailed Geckos, Day Geckos, Mourning Gecko, Bearded Dragons, Water Dragons, Skinks, Blue-Tongued Skinks, Chameleons, Monitors including Dwarf Monitors, Iguanas, Spiny-Tailed Lizards, Ball Pythons, and Colubrids
DIRECTIONS: Place Hatch It in an incubation container or dish. Soak in water for a few minutes, remove and let drip dry ensuring to water left in bottom. Add Hatch It to your incubation container, filling it approx 3/4 full. Add eggs preferably in an indent. Cover with lid and incubate at the species preferred egg incubation temperature.
Suspended Incubation: For hard-shelled eggs or mold-sensitive species that should not have their eggs directly touch moisture place egg on plastic grate or in small egg cup with dry media in it on top the wet media so the eggs never touch the damp substrate directly.
Although our media cab be sterilized and reused by baking at 300 for 60 min we recommend composting and using new media if mold develops or has been used for 12 months to avoid contaminants.
Hatch It is dust free with the ability to absorb and hold water internally. This allows Hatch It to absorb and hold large amounts of water with a very slow rate of evaporation, which helps control the quick release of water which causes surface moisture and condensation.
Always use the largest feasible incubation container possible and don’t crowd eggs. The more volume in the container, the better ventilation around eggs and less chance of the eggs going bad.
