Fruit flys make good feeders for dart and smaller tree frogs, micro geckos, praying mantis and spiders. Our feeders are conveniently prepped and ready to fuel your pets' growth and vitality. Cultures can be shaken up in shipping resulting in fruit fly already producing dying during shipping but will quickly produce more fruit fly from larva in culture. No hassle, just pure nourishment for your beloved companions. Available in three varieties

Drosophila Hydei (flightless), Golden Hydei( flightless) which produce slightly faster than our regular Hydei and Melanogaster (flightless).

Cultures come pre-seeded with fruit fly and either currently producing or aprox 1 week away from producing. It is important to not over harvest from a culture until it is well producing as this can stall out a fruit fly cultures production. As a result we recommend keeping multiple cultures at different stages ( 1 week apart) so you always have a culture or several cultures producing so you don’t run out of food for your pet. cultures last aprox 30 days to 45 days depending on how you keep them.

Hydei are best for adult frog while Melagaster are faster producer but smaller fruit fly for baby or small dart frogs.
